I do need to have people sign up so I can give them a count. Here is the link. It contains all the information about the field trip. Please direct people there for more details about the classes. Below is just some basic information.
Let's do another field trip while the weather is still good! If you have not been to the Morrison Nature Center (Star K Ranch), it is well-worth a visit. It is located near the Northfield/Stapleton area of Denver.
Because of COVID restrictions, I need to give them numbers before we arrive. Please sign up and let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel. Here is the information:
Lesson Topic: Wildlife and Adaptations
Location: Morrison Nature Center, 16002 E Smith Rd. Aurora, CO 80011
Date and Time: Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Our programs run from 10:30 to noon.
Cost: $1 per child participating. (Suggested ages to participate pre-K through 6th grade). Adults and older/younger siblings who are not doing the hands on activities are free. Please bring cash.
Parking: There is plenty of parking outside of the Nature Center. The Nature Center is also equipped with bathrooms, heat/AC, and a drinking fountain.
COVID details: All participants over the age of 10 years old will be required to wear a mask, though masks are encouraged for participants of all ages. We will maintain groups of 10 people during the program. Hand sanitizer and hand washing tables will be available. We will stay in groups of 10 people during the activities. We will be outdoors and from what I understand, when you are not participating in an activity and you are with your family on the nature trail, masks are not required.
What to bring: Please bring comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing/ layers to be outside.
